Social networks have become an integral part of 21st century life. They are used is numerous ways to stay in touch, share information, meet others, and learn new information. Education is beginning to respond to this new technology in creative and innovative ways. You will work in a group to explore, learn and then teach others about your assigned social network. Be creative and innovative in your methods. It is best if you can use the network itself to teach the class. Projects will be graded for the following:
ORGANIZATION/CLARITY: Does your lesson to the class follow a logical and well planned path where information is organically connected to new knowledge?
HISTORY OF SOCIAL NETWORK: Inform the class about the social network and how it began and is used today.
WAYS THAT THE SOCIAL NETWORK CAN BE USED IN AN EDUCATIONAL SETTING BY TEACHERS, PARENTS, OR STUDENTS: What are some ways that the social network is being utilized by the educational community? What are some ways you will use the network in your particular context? How does this method/strategy meet the needs of 21st century learners?
